The consumer division of IBM better known today as Lenovo, now produces laptops based on the proven IBM Thinkpad design. One flaw of the new laptop design is in the keyboard, in which the keys sometimes pop off of the mounting. Due to the way the keys are attached, there is no effective way to reattach broken key mounts (or broken key tabs) to the keyboard and the only option is replacement.
